If you are like me, you have thrown away a lot of time and sometimes a lot of cash taking photographs, that are, well, not that impressive. After countless years (too many to reference), I at long last resolved to do something about it. I read a couple of magazines, books and took some classes to advance my digital photography. What I learned is that there are a bountiful amount of digital photography tricks that are so simple, I picked them up instantaneously and revealed fantastic results.
I won’t swear that you will be a virtuoso from these digital photography tricks, however you will notice proof from your very first shot.
1. Fill the frame – One of the most basic digital photography tricks to attain, but tougher to implement. When you shoot a picture, how small is your subject in the frame? When I look at old photos that I took years ago, the subject constantly seemed to be tiny. Well, by filling the frame with the subject, you accent them more completely. Also, on the occasion that the subject takes up most or all of the complete frame, you expel any unattractive objects that appear to make their way in. The rule that I presently put to work is if you consider you are close enough, your not. If you think that you are too close, then take the picture, you are just right.
2. Would you repeat that? – A distinctly straightforward to grasp digital photography trick is repetition. Repeating arrangements, colors or textures conceive stupendous photos! One more idea that will bring about an excellent picture is to create or find a pattern and then locate another object that violates the template, like a box full of oranges with one red apple. The odd man out pulls the viewer's eye toward the photo and also establishes a contradiction.
3. One of the digital photography tricks used a lot is reflection: The world is awash of reflective objects and faces; water, glass, chrome and mirrors to note a few. They alter our normal perception by twisting the normal image. Whenever you take a picture of the reflection in lieu of the original, it will engage increased complexity to your photograph and force the viewer to think more about what they are seeing.
4. The last yet not the least of the digital photography tricks is to build a frame within a frame. I am not saying a photograph frame, I am speaking about constructing a frame encompassing your principal object via other objects. One representative would be to stand on one side of a door frame and place your principal object on the opposite side. Shoot the picture with the door frame encompassing the edge of the picture. It forces the viewer’s eye to the interior of the frame and to your principal object. It could also establish more depth in the picture.
These are a few of the simple approaches that skillful photographers put to use to attain those exceptional pictures in magazines, books and on the web. My hope is that you will apply these digital photography tricks to sharpen your picture taking abilities. Happy shooting and say cheese (make mine gouda)
